1M1C – December 2024 : Marylin Lucas – ATCHADE – R&D and Industrialization Assistant
To end the year on a high note, we're off to Boulogne-sur-Mer with Marylin Lucas ATCHADE, originally from Benin.
He holds the position of R&D and Industrialization Assistant.
How would you describe your working day ?
My working day varies, some days being more intense than others. It all depends on the urgency of the situation, the priority of the projects and their progress. In general, I start by assessing the progress of projects, then work on them in order of priority. Depending on the urgency, my day can be devoted to industrial trials, internal meetings, research, or writing documentation for development projects, etc.
What projects are you currently working on ?
I'm currently working on :
- Implementation of video-controls on the Boulogne-sur-Mer production lines.
- The dematerialization of registration forms and the deployment of control tools (tablets) on all sites.
- Qualification of label materials.
- Innovation and process optimization.
In three words, how would you describe your role ?
Support, responsiveness, cross-functionality:
- Support: I support the structural and operational departments.
- Responsiveness: I have to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Transversality: I work with different departments to achieve our common goals.
What are your main professional challenges ?
Constantly develop my skills through the assignments I am given. Contribute to innovation in our manufacturing processes and improve our products.
If you had to choose a mentor, anyone, who would it be ?
I couldn't name just one person in particular…
On a professional level, Dominique Ducandas, Pierre Pont, Cédric Le Bris and Sabrina Calon, my main managers, have given me a lot of advice and shared their know-how.
On a personal level, they would be my parents.
What do you like best about your job ?
My job at Crusta C is very rewarding, thanks to the diversity of subjects I deal with on a daily basis. My job is characterized by its autonomy, versatility and adaptability.
I enjoy the challenges this role entails; I'm constantly learning new things.
What is your greatest professional achievement ?
I haven't yet reached what I'd call an accomplishment, but I strive every day to give my best to achieve the goals entrusted to me.
What advice would you give to new recruits?
To new recruits, I'd say: “Nothing's impossible, you can always achieve it with willpower and determination.”
Difficulties are an integral part of our daily lives, so it's essential not to be discouraged by the first obstacles. Curiosity and dedication facilitate progress and ensure better integration.
Keeping a good frame of mind and remaining yourself in all circumstances are essential qualities for progress.
Question of the month for December: can you tell us your best recipe for the festive season ?
I'd suggest a meal of marinated shrimps, rice and fried plantains!
